One Pot Synthesis of Polyhydroquinolines Catalyzed by Sulfonic Acid Functionalized SBA-15 as a New Nanoporous Acid Catalyst under Solvent Free Conditions

Sulfonic acid functionalized SBA-15 (SBA-Pr-SO3H) as a new nanoporous acid catalyst was used in the one-pot synthesis of polyhydroquinolines derivatives via the Hantzsch four component condensation reaction of aldehydes, b-ketoesters, dimedone and ammonium acetate under solvent free conditions with short reaction time in excellent yields. SBA-P...

Perfluorinated resin-sulfonic acid (Nafion-H): an efficient, environment friendly and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes

A novel, efficient and one-pot method for preparation of 1, 8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene derivatives is reported using Nafion-H as an effective heterogeneous catalyst under thermal and solvent-free conditions. This method has the advantages of high yields, a cleaner reaction, simple methodology, easy work-up and greener conditions. The catalyst is easily prepared, stable, reusable and efficient un...

Fast one-pot synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridine derivatives using sulfonic acid functionalized LUS-1 and the study on their antimicrobial activities

Mesoporous silica LUS-1 (Laval University Silica) was successfully functionalized by propyl sulfonic acid and was used as a recyclable catalyst for the synthesis of acridine-1,8-diones via a pseudo four component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone and ammonium acetate (or anilines). The excellent yields, short reaction time, simple work-up procedure, and environmentally friendly condition...

Application of Sulfonic Acid Functionalized Nanoporous Silica (SBA-Pr-SO3H) in the Green One-pot Synthesis of Polyhydroacridine Libraries

1,8-Dioxo-decahydroacridines have been synthesized by the three-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, aromatic amines (or ammonium acetate), and dimedone in the presence of sulfonic acid functionalized nanoporous silica (SBA-Pr-SO3H) under solvent-free conditions. Excellent yields, short reaction times, mild reaction conditions, an...
